Spotlight: Cecilia Carr
A little about FoxTales volunteer Cecilia…My maiden name was Wolfe, and I’ve always said I was raised by wolves. Growing up, I was afforded many opportunities to engage with animals, including wild ones. My mother and I hatched quail eggs, cared for orphaned opossum babies and injured birds… even a baby skunk. The die was cast…
How did you first find out about FoxTales Wildlife Rehab?
I was looking for help with an injured raccoon near my neighborhood when I first found out about FoxTales. (Photo below)

Do you have a favorite wild animal?
They’re all pretty magical. Tied for the top: bears, wolves, opossums, and rabbits.
Do you have any advice for someone who is considering volunteering with their local wildlife rehabber, but may be hesitating to do so?
There is always a way to pitch in. Find yours.
